Budget advocacy to preserve City funding for health and human services for vulnerable San Franciscans;

Contracting reform to simplify the City contracting process, saving valuable staff time and resources;

Wage parity between nonprofit employees working on City contracts and City employees performing similar work;

Living Wage and Living Health legislation mandating minimum compensation levels and health benefits for employees working on City contracts;

Election activities: HSN organizes candidate forums to address issues of nonprofit concern, makes endorsements on ballot measures that impact nonprofits and those we serve, and promotes voter registration to encourage nonprofit employees and clients to register and exercise their right to vote;

Comprehensive survey of the nonprofit sector;

Conferences for the nonprofit community: New Realities;

Other Issues: HSN seeks to develop a unified nonprofit voice that articulates sensible policies on issues that impact the ability of agencies to provide effective and efficient services.
